課程概述 |
這門課將討論幾個主題（1）人權的定義與理論基礎 (2)人權思想在西歐與美國的興起與傳播；（3）人類學與人權論述的關係，特別是所謂文化相對主義與普遍人權概念的緊張關係；（4）原住民的人權與文化權所引發的議題（5）人權的實踐與人權的在地化。 |

課程要求 |
1. 上課前必須閱讀當週指定讀物，並於上課前一天晚上9:00前繳交摘要。摘要請打字用細明體12號字，長短約1-2頁，並且在課堂上說明論點。
2. 上課時請踴躍加入討論。依修課人數，每週有同學負責帶領該週讀物的討論。
3. 期末報告：一個人權的計畫，針對某個國家、區域、民族、或群體的人權狀態做描述與調查。要有文獻回顧與問題意識，並提出研究的方法與策略，長度為10-20頁。這篇文章除了描述，還要是有「行動力」的，也就是最後你應當提出一些幫忙解決或減輕這種狀態的方法。不一定要直接介入，也可以是透過報導與揭露真相，讓公眾認識並激起同情。可能的主題如下：
– 政治良心犯
– 難民或無國家保護的人們
– 失蹤的人（因為政治或經濟發展）
– 所謂的「發展」所衝擊到的人們（可能是環境破壞、可能是強迫遷移…）
– 政治權利的剝奪；死刑；種族隔離政策
– 酷刑；暴力
– 婦女權（家暴、平等…）
– 原住民的環境權、土地權、文化權
– 自決權（民族、部落）
– 貧窮與健康
– 人權團體的論述與文化
本課沒有碰的主題：兒童權、同性/跨性戀者權、居住權，也都歡迎你們去檢視。
建議你針對特定地方，分析這個人權議題發生的背景與歷史，描述出被侵犯的狀態形式及牽涉到的人，然後思考做為一個人類學家（或田野調查者）可以提供哪些協助的方式。可以是直接的面對，幫忙人們組織起來；也可以是提供情報與意見給政策決定者；或者訴諸國際人道援助組織；或是透過各種媒體、網路，揭露真相。但是必須考慮實行的可能性有多高？還有是否會造成同事、本人及需要被協助的人身心上的危險？
如果你真的毫無頭緒，最後還有一種方式，就是選用一本或數本人權的民族誌，配合其他書籍或報導，對這幾本民族誌或這個區域的人權狀況做出評價。
無論是那一個主題，請同學於7週 8週9週，找時間和我先討論期末報告的題目與內容，未經認可，不得就閉門造車。
